Hidden in Plain Sight: The Gaza Hostage Crisis and the Rescue Mission on June 8th 2024 Unfolds
Following the heroic rescue mission in Nuseirat refugee camp, Gaza, in which IDF forces managed to save 4 hostages who were kidnapped on October 7th by Hamas terrorists from southern Israel, many tweets related to the killed civilians and placed the blame where it belongs.
[The four hostages] were rescued in a special operation by the IDF, ISA and Israel Police from 2 separate locations in the heart of #Nuseirat after being kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova music festival, eight month’s ago.
…
How evil and ruthless is #Hamas to hide hostages among civilians, compromise civilians safety and to use Gazans as accessories and accomplices to this war? The hostages were being hidden within the central market of Nuseirat in Gaza

John Aziz:
Just Hamas blaming Gazan civilians for holding Noa Argamani and others as hostages. But Argamani appeared in multiple al-Qassam propaganda videos. Hamas are professional liars.

Leslie Kajomovitz:
We continue to see both journalists and doctors actively participating in terrorism in Gaza, this time in hostage keeping and perhaps even taking.
The chairman of EuroMedHR, Ramy Abdu, confirms that hostages were kept in private homes and that those holding them hostage were Dr. Ahmed Al-Jamal and his son, journalist Abdallah Al-Jamal, for the Palestine Chronicle.
[It goes on more, I recommend reading it]

Israel Advocacy Movement:
Meet the al-Jazeera journalist… Abdallah AlJamal.
… celebrated October 7th and we’ve just learnt that Noa Argamani was held captive in his home.
Remember his name the next time the world claims Israel kills journalists.

AG:
After the hostages confirmed they were being held by a family, Hmas front group EuroMed revealed the exact family that was holding the hostages.
Of course they present the people who were knowingly holding and guarding hostages as victims. “
journalist” and “doctor” who hold hostages for terror groups in their free time.

Cheryl E:
Hamas, together with thousands of Gazan civilians and aided and abetted by the UN agency UNRWA, kidnapped 250 innocent people on Oct 7.
As we found out today, the hostages were deliberately kept in civilian homes for months, right in the middle of a populated area with thousands of “civilians”. In the past few months, it was discovered that some hostages were kept at hospitals and at UNRWA schools and homes of UNRWA employees.
Regardless what the UN and the media or anybody else want to claim, 100000% of the responsibility for any casualties rests solely on the hostage TAKERS, not the hostage RESCUERS. Israel has a duty and a responsibility to do whatever is necessary to protect their citizens and to rescue them. The fact that there was 50 or 100 or 200 or even 1000 casualties is not on Israel but on the perpetrators of the kidnappings and all those complicit in it.
If you don’t want people to die, don’t start a war, kidnap civilians and place them in the middle of a large population. To even attempt to criticize Israel in any way for any deaths is not only immoral and wrong, but it’s dangerous. Because the moment we assign even an ounce of blame on those rescuing hostages, you are giving a green light to terrorists everywhere to use the tactic of hostage taking and human shields and preventing the hostages from ever being rescued.

Daniel Goldman:
Israel made a ceasefire offer favorable to Hamas that the United States, Qatar, Egypt and the international community strongly endorsed. Hamas has not accepted it.

Emily Austin:
This hostage rescue operation took place in the heart of Nusirat- one of the most population condensed places in Gaza.
For those who are concerned about civilian casualties, ask yourself why the hostages are being held in the most civilian dense places!!

A reply asked:
Where do you think they should be held ? Do tell ?
To which she answered the obvious:
I’m so glad you asked! They shouldn’t be held hostage at all.
Hope that clears things up.

Councilwoman Inna Vernikov:
A big F*#* YOU today to all genocidal antisemites and maniacs!
(https://x.com/InnaVernikov/status/1799616961154064834)Just a reminder that the four hostages were rescued from a heavily populated neighborhood & “civilian” homes. Any innocent lives lost is squarely on Hamas and their helpers/enables… like the “civilians” who helped hide them.
(https://x.com/InnaVernikov/status/1799620791924924534)Simple lesson for terrorists and terror enabling “civilians” in Gaza, Rafah and elsewhere in the territories: Hide hostages in your homes, expect civilian deaths when Israel comes to rescue them. Return the hostages, avoid ALL civilian deaths.

Kiyah Willis:
It’s insane that people are mad at Israel for rescuing the hostages and not at Hamas for taking the hostages in the first place

Drew Pavlou:
October 7 and June 8 changed my political outlook forever.
…
June 8 I saw the same normie progressives react with utter fury to the joyous sight of 4 rescued hostages. I saw Tweets calling on Hamas to place suicide belts on the remaining hostages get 10,000 likes.
… but never could I imagine that the same forces of hatred and Nazism would be resurrected in the present day. And that ordinary, normal students I knew personally would celebrate these forces and make them a defining part of their political identity
It’s changed my life forever, I will never forget it, and I will spend the rest of my life opposing it

While some criticize Israel’s actions, the overwhelming international support emphasizes a shared commitment to ending the hostage crisis and restoring peace. This narrative of bravery and resilience is echoed in the international accolades and expressions of solidarity seen across social media, as detailed in the post “Global Support for Israel: Celebrating the Rescue of Four Hostages.”
